【释义】：

n．①刀口，锋刃：a． kn．ife with a． sha．rpedge一把快刀The sickle has no edge．这镰刀没有开刃．②边，边缘，棱：the water’s edge 水边．in the edge of evening黄昏．trim the edges of a lawn修剪草地的边缘．Don’t put the glass on the edge of the table．不要把玻璃杯放在桌边上．The imperialist policy of positions of strength is on the edge of bankruptcy．帝国主义的实力地位政策已濒于破产．③锐利：the cutting edge of his irony他讽刺的辛辣．take the edge off sth．使钝The edge of him was gone．他的锐气消失了．
