猪肠内粘膜肝素苄基酯经由碱化降解得到解聚肝素钠盐，其主要组成链部分非还原结构有一个2-O-硫代-4-烯吡喃糖醛酸末端和一个末端还原链结构2-N，6-O-二硫代-D-葡糖胺。

相对分子量平均值约为4500，其范围在3500和5500之间，硫酸化程度是每一双糖单位约为2。
