【释义】：

a．①应付的，到期的(名词前不用)：The capitalist did not pay the workers their wages due tothem．资本家没有给工人应得的工资．②正当的，适当的，相当的：in due time在适当的时机．in due form正式，照例．after due consideration 经过适当考虑之后．give the enemy a due punishment给敌人以应得的惩罚．③应到的，预定的：The train is due at 5．火车应在五点到We are due to discuss this problem tonight．我们预定今晚讨论这个问题．④应给与，应归于，由于(to)：Our victory is due to the wise leadership of the Party and Chairman Mao．我们的胜利应归功于党和毛主席的英明领导．
