【释义】：

脱鞋为证；(喻)作证

And I thought to advertise thee. Saying, Buy it before the inhabitants, and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it: but if thou wilt not redeem it. then tell me, that I may know: for there is none to redeem it beside thee; and I am after thee. And he said, I will redeem it.

Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabites. the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.

And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar mine own inheritance: redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot redeem it.

Now this was the manner in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning changing, for to confirm all things; a man plucked off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbour: and this was a testimony in Israel.

Therefore the kinsman said unto Boaz, Buy it for thee. So he drew off his shoe.

And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech's, and all that was Chilion's and Mahlon's, of the hand of Naomi.

Moreover Ruth the Moabites, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up lhe name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye arc witnesses this day.

Ruth 4: 4-10

“我(指波阿斯)想当赎那块地的是你，其次是我，以外再没有别人了。

你可以在这里的人面前和我本国的长老面前说明，你若赎就赎，若不肯赎就告诉我。”那人回答说：“我肯赎。”

波阿斯说：“你从拿俄米手中买这地的时候，也当娶死人的妻摩押女子路得，使死人在产业上存留他的名。”

那人说：“这样我就不能赎了。恐怕于我的产业有碍。你可以赎我所赎的，我不能赎了。”

从前在以色列人要定夺甚么事，或赎回，或交易，达人就脱鞋给那人。以色列人都是以为证据。

那人对波阿斯说：“你自己买吧!”于是将鞋脱下来了。

波阿斯对长老和众民说：“你们今日作见证，凡属以利米勒和基连、玛伦的，我都从拿俄米手中置买了，

又娶了玛伦的妻摩押女子路得为妻，好在死人的产业上存留他的名，免得他的名在本族本乡灭没。你们今日可以作见证。”
