【释义】：

所罗门为民祈祷；(喻)天下太平

And Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:

And he said, Lord God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:

Who hast kept with thy servant David my father, that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.

Therefore now, Lord God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying,There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children lake heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.

And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father.

I Kings 8:22-26

所罗门当着以色列会众，站在耶和华坛前，向天举手说：

“耶和华以色列的神啊，天上地下没有神可比你的，你向那尽心行在你面前的仆人守约施慈爱；

向你仆人我父大卫所应许的话现在应验了；你亲口应许，亲手成就，正如今日一样。

耶和华以色列的神啊，你所应许你仆人我父大卫的话说：‘你的子孙若谨慎自己的行为，在我面前行事像你行的一样，就不断坐以色列的国位。’

现在求你应验这话。以色列的神啊，求你成就向你仆人我父大卫所应许的话。”
