【释义】:

一恶收十报;(喻)干坏事必将遭到加倍报应

They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.

Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?

For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.

For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.

Hosea 8:4-7

他们(指以色列人)立君王,却不由我;他们立首领,我却不认。

他们用金银为自己制造偶像,以致被剪除。

撒玛利亚阿,耶和华已经丢弃你的犊;我的怒气向拜牛犊的人发作,他们到几时方能无罪呢?

这牛犊出于以色列,是匠人所造的,并不是神。撒玛利亚的牛犊必被打碎。

他们所种的是风,所收的是暴风;所种的不成禾稼,就是发苗也不结实;即便结实,外邦人必吞吃。
