旷野的呼声；(喻)劝人走正道

And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed. I am not the Christ.

And they asked him. What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not.Art thou that prophet? And he answered. No.

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us.What sayest thou of thyself?

He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

John 1:19-23

约翰所作的见证，记在下面；犹太人从耶路撒冷差祭司和利未人到约翰那里，问他说：“你是谁?”

他就明说，并不隐瞒；明说：“我不是基督。

”

他们又问他说：“这样你是谁呢?是以利亚吗?”他说：“我不是；”“是那先知吗?”他回答说：“不是。”

于是他们说：“你到底是谁?叫我们好回复差我们来的人；你自己说，你是谁?”

他说：“我就是那在旷野有人声喊着说：‘修直主的道路，’正如先知以赛亚所说的。”

《约翰福音》1∶19－23

Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.

And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low, and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;

And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

Luke 3:2-6

亚那和该阿法作大祭司，那时，撒加利亚的儿子约翰在旷野里，上帝的话临到他。

他说来到约旦河一带的地方、宣讲悔改的洗礼，使罪得赦。

正如先知以赛亚书上所记的话，说：“在旷野有人声喊着说：‘预备主的道，修直他的路。

一切山都要填满，大小山岗都要削平，弯弯曲曲的地方要改为正直、高高低低的道路要改为平坦。

凡有血气的，都要见上帝的救恩。’”

As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

Mark 1:2-4

正如先知书上记着说：“看哪，我要差遣我的使者在你的面前准备道路。

在旷野有人声喊着说：‘准备主的道，修直他的路’。”

照这话，约翰来了，在旷野施洗，传悔改的洗礼，使罪得赦。
