【释义】：
a．①紧的，坚固的：a tight knot紧结．He was wearing an old coat that was too tight for him．他穿着一件太紧的旧外衣．The cork is too tight．这塞子太紧了．②不透的，不漏的：an air-tight ball不漏气的球．③张紧的，绷紧的：a tight rope绷紧的绳．keep a tight hand on严厉对待．④【喻】棘手的，处境困难的：be in a tight place处于困境．⑤(钱)紧迫的，难得到的：The money-market is tight．金融市场银根紧．⑥装紧的，装满的：Fill the bags so that they are tight．把袋子装满．⑦【口语】喝得太多的，醉的．tightly ad．tightness n．
