中子计量的量和单位

1.中子源强度。中子源强度是放射性核素中子源在自由空间在单位时间内发射出来的中子数,也称中子发射率。单位是秒-1

2.中子注量率。中子注量率φ是中子体密度n和中子速度V的乘积,φ=nV。或者用另一种定义,φ是dΦ除以dt所得的商,其中dΦ是在时间间隔dt内中子注量Φ的增量,

φ=dΦ/dt=d2N/(dtda)

由于中子注量Φ是dN除以da所得的商,其中dN是入射到截面为da的球中的粒子数。

Φ=dN/da

可以证明,中子注量率的两种定义的结果完全一样,并且Φ=nvt。定义中用截面为da的球代替截面,这样总可以做到入射中子垂直于截面da。
