About the Editor

Anna Sabasteanski is president of the Asset Management Network, Inc and editor of the TerrorismCentral database and newsletter. She also edits the AML/CFT Monitor—which covers topics in AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering/Combating Financing of Terrorism)—and Political Risk Monitor. Previously, she held executive level positions with Tanning Technology and Macmillan and was the founder of Electronic Press. She has three decades of experience in the management, design and deployment of data acquisition, management, security and delivery systems for the financial services, media and entertainment, and healthcare industries. She and her clients have won numerous industry awards. Anna is an active participant in the local community, serves on the board of the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Association, and frequently speaks and writes on related issues. She first studied terrorism and political violence at Bates College (where she received her bachelor of arts degree) and the London School of Economics (where she received her master’s degree).

David Levinson, president of Berkshire Publishing, is also a cultural anthropologist (PhD, State University of New York at Buffalo) and an expert on comparative cultural analysis, comparative religion, and global social issues. Prior to cofounding Berkshire Publishing he was vice-president of the Human Relations Area Files at Yale University. He is editorin-chief of the Encyclopedia of Crime and Punishment, and author of the award-winning political science reference Aggression & Conflict.
