生物学特性 感染30个科中199种植物。系统感染烟草(Ncotiana tabacum)、番茄(Lycopersicon esculentum),矮牵(Petunia hybrida)、辣椒(Capsicum annuum)、和茄子(Solanum melongena)等多种植物,均呈花叶;局部感染心叶烟(Nicotiana glutinosa)、曼陀罗(Datura stramonium)和菜豆(Phaseolus vulgaris)等,引起局部斑点。诊断寄主为苋色藜(Chenopodium amaranticolor)、烟草和心叶烟。繁殖寄主为烟草的Turkish,Samsum或Xanthi品种。测定寄主为烟草的Xanthi-nc或Samsum NN,心叶烟、菜豆的Pinto品种和苋色藜。极易机械传播。致死温度90℃,稀释终点10-6,D1。=2.0×103戈瑞,e(Efficiency)=0.9×3.7×1011/ND1/c。分普通、黄斑、番茄、十字花科、菜豆和车前草多种毒株。衣壳蛋白为强免疫原,与Tomato mosaic virus U2,Tobamovirus中许多病毒有血青学关系。在寄主的薄壁细胞、叶肉、筛管、导管和气孔的保卫细胞等细胞质中排列成片状、针状和纤维状结晶内含体。

分类 烟草花叶病毒群(Tobamovirus)典型病毒。

分布 全世界。
