【释义】：

a．①(用在物主代词后面，加强语气)自己的，亲自的：How I wish to see Chairman Mao with my own eyes!我多么希望亲眼看到毛主席!be one’s own man(or master)自主，不受束缚．②(后面不跟名词)自己的：We always regard the revolutionary struggle of other countries as our own．我们从来把各国人民的革命斗争看作是自己的斗争．hold one’s own 1)坚持自己的立场．2)撑得住：The patient is holding his own．病人在支撑着．on one’s own 独立地，独立生活：do work on one’s own 独立工作．③独特的，特有的：This fruit has a flavour all its own．这种水果有它独特的香味．④嫡亲的，同胞的：my own brother我的嫡亲兄弟(同父母的)．
