【释义】：

巴力；(喻)降旱(盛夏季节，巴力能使草木干枯，故视为降旱之神。

故以长子作祭，欲释其怒。圣经中的“经火之谓”即指此)；赐光与热(以为巴力赐光与热。古代迦南人信奉的太阳神)

Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hephzi-bah.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel.

For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab King of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.

And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.

And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.

2 Kings 21:1-6

玛拿西登基的时候年十二岁，在耶路撒冷作王五十五年。他母亲名叫协西巴。

玛拿西做了耶和华视为罪恶的事，效法耶和华在以色列人面前赶出的外邦人所行的可憎之事。

重新建筑他父希西家所毁坏的祭坛，又为巴力筑祭坛，作亚舍拉像，效法以色列王亚哈的行为，且敬拜事奉天上的万象，

在耶和华殿宇中筑坛。

耶和华曾指着这殿宇说过：“我要立我的名在耶路撒冷”。

他在耶和华殿宇的两庭院中为天上的万象筑了祭坛，

并使他的儿子经火献邪神，又行占卜，用法术，立招魂的和行巫术的。

多行耶和华视为罪恶的事，惹他发怒。

《列王纪下》21∶1－6

Twenty years old was Ahaz when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and did not that which was right in the sight of the Lord his God. like David his father.

But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out from before the children of Israel.

And he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.

2 Kinzs 16:2-4

他登基的时候年二十岁，在耶路撒冷作王十六年，不像他祖大卫行耶和华他神眼中看为正的事。

却效法以色列诸王所行的，又照着耶和华从以色列人面前赶出的外邦人所行可憎的事，使他的儿子经火，
