【释义】：

大卫召见米非波设(约拿单之子)；(喻)不忘旧交

And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.

And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the Kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.

And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba Said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.

The king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar.

Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!

And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt cat bread at my table continually.

And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?

大卫问说：“扫罗家还有剩下的人没有?我要因约拿单的缘故向他施恩。

”

扫罗家有一个仆人，名叫冼巴，有人叫他来见大卫，王问他说：“你是冼巴吗?”回答说：“仆人是”。

王说：“扫罗家还有人没有?我要照神的慈爱恩待他。”冼巴对王说：“还有约拿单的一个儿子，是瘸腿的。”

王说：“他在哪里?”冼巴对王说：“他在罗底巴亚米利的儿子玛吉家里。”

于是大卫王打发人去，从罗底巴亚米利的儿子玛吉家里召了他来。

扫罗的孙子、约拿单的儿子米非波设来见大卫，伏地叩拜。

大卫说：“米非波设!”米非波设说：“仆人在此。”

大卫说：“你不要惧怕，我必因你父亲约拿单的缘故施恩与你，将你祖父扫罗的一切田地都归还你，你也可以常与我同席吃饭。”

米非波设又叩拜说：“仆人算什么?不过如死狗一般，竟蒙王这样眷顾。”
