【释义】：

魔鬼也会引经据典；(喻)坏人为了达到某种目的，也会寻找依据

Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God,command that these stones be made bread.

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple.

And sailh unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God.

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou will fall down and worship me.

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shall thou serve.

Then the devil leaveth him, and behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

当时耶稣被圣灵引到旷野受魔鬼的试探。

他禁食四十昼夜，后来就饿了。

那试探的人进前来，对他说：“你若是神的儿子，可以吩咐这些石头变成食物。”

耶稣却回答说：“经上记着说，人活着不是单靠食物，乃是靠神口里所出的一切话。”

魔鬼就带他进了圣城，叫他站在殿顶上，

对他说：“你若是神的儿子，可以跳下去。因为经上记着说，主要为你吩咐他的使者，用手托着你，免得你的脚碰在石头上。”

耶稣对他说：“经上又记着说，不可试探主你的神。”

魔鬼又带他上了一座最高的山，将世上的万国与万国的荣耀都指给他看，对他说：“你若俯伏我，我就把一切都赐给你。”

耶稣说：“撒但，退去吧。因为经上记着说，当拜主你的神，单要事奉他。”

于是魔鬼离了耶稣，有天使来侍候他。
