【释义】：
杀(埃及人)长子；(喻)断后
And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborns in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.
And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go , serve the Lord, as ye have said,
Also take your flocks and your herbs, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.

到了半夜，耶和华把埃及地所有的长子，就是从坐宝座的法老，直到被掳囚在监里之人的长子，以及一切头生的牲畜，尽都杀了。
法老和一切臣仆并埃及众人，夜间都起来了。在埃及有大哀号，无一家不死一个人的。
夜间，法老召了摩西、亚伦来，说：“起来!连你们带以色列人，从我民中出去。依你们所说的去事奉耶和华吧!
”
