使者；(喻)传信息的人

And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.

And when Jacob saw them, he said. This is God's host: and he called the name of that place Mahanaim.

And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother unto the land of Seir, the country of Edom.

And he commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye speak unto my lord Esau; Thy servant Jacob saith thus, I have sojourned with Laban, and stayed there until now:

And I have oxen, and asses, flocks, and menservants, and womenservants: and I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find grace in thy sight.

Gen.32:1-5

雅各仍旧行路。

神的使者遇见他。

雅各看见他们就说：“这是神的军兵。”于是给那地方起名叫玛哈念。

雅各打发人先往西珥地去，就是以东地，见他哥哥以扫。

(他)吩咐他们说：“你们对我主以扫说，你的仆人雅各这样说，我在拉班那里寄居，直到如今。

我有牛、驴、羊群、仆婢，现在打发人来报告我主，为要在你眼前蒙恩。

《创世纪》32∶1－5

In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying.

Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying. This people say. The time is not come, the lime that the Lord's house should be built.
