【释义】：

去污之水；(喻)赎罪

And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying.

This is the ordinance of the law which the Lord hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:

And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:

And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times:

And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:

And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet,and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.

Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even.

And he that burnetii her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even.

And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin.

And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.

Num.19:1-10

耶和华晓谕摩西、亚伦说：

“耶和华命定律法中的一条律例乃是这样说：你要吩咐以色列人，把一只没有残疾、未曾负轭、纯红的母牛，牵到你这里来，

交给祭司以利亚撒，他必牵到营外，人就把牛宰在他面前。

祭司以利亚撒要用指头蘸这牛的血，向会幕前面弹七次。

人要在他眼前把这母牛焚烧，牛的皮、肉、血、粪都要焚烧。

祭司要把香柏木、牛膝草、朱红色线都丢在烧牛的火中。

祭司必不洁净到晚上，要洗衣服，用水洗身，然后可以进营；

烧牛的人必不洁净到晚上，也要洗衣服，用水洗身。

必有一个洁净的人，收起母牛的灰，存在营外洁净的地方，为以色列会众调作除污秽的水。这本是除罪的。

收起母牛灰的人，必不洁净到晚上，要洗衣服。这要给以色列人和寄居在他们中间的外人，作为永远的定例。
