【释义】：

逃城；(喻)避难所

He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death. And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.

Exod．21∶12－13

打人以致打死的，必要把他治死。

人若不是埋伏着杀人，乃是神交在他手中，我就设下一个地方，他可以往那里逃跑。

《出埃及记》21∶12－13

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come over Jordan into the land of Canaan;

Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may flee thither, which killeth any person at unawares.

And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger; that the manslayer die not, until he stand before the congregation in judgment.

And of these cities which ye shall give six cities shall ye have for refuge.

Ye shall give three cities on this side Jordan, and three cities shall ye give in the land of Canaan, which shall be cities of refuge.

These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may flee thither.

Num. 35: 9-15

耶和华晓谕摩西说：

“你吩咐以色列人说：你们过约旦河，进了迦南地，”

就要分出几座城为你们作逃城，使误杀的人可以逃到那里。

这些城可以作逃避报仇人的城，使误杀人的不至于死，等他站在会众面前听审判。

你们所分出来的城，要作六座逃城。

在约旦河东要分出三座城；在迦南地也要分出三座城，都作逃城。

这六座城要给以色列人和他们中间的外人，并寄居的，作为逃城，使误杀人的都可以逃到那里。

”

《民数记》35∶9－15

Then Moses severed three cities on this side Jordan toward the sunrising;

That the slayer might flee thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of

these cities he might live;

Namely, Bezer in the wilderness, in the plain country, of the Reubenites; and Ramolh in Gilead. of the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan. of the Manassites.

And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel.

These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgements, which Moses spake unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt.

Deut.4:41-45

那时摩西在约旦河东，向日出之地，分定三座城，

使那素无仇恨，无心杀了人的可以逃到这三城之中的一座城，就得存活。

为流便人分定旷野平原的比悉；为迦南人分定基列的拉末；为玛拿西人分定巴珊的哥兰。

摩西在以色列人面前所陈明的律法，

就是摩西在以色列人出埃及后所传给他们的法度、律例、典章。
