【释义】：

ad．①另外，用其它方法：I think otherwise．我是另外一种想法．We could repair the electric motor otherwise．我们可以用其他方法修理这台电动机．He would rather stay at the village than otherwise．他巴不得留在村里．The AfroAmericans could do no otherwise than rise in resistance．美国黑人不能不奋起抵抗．②另方面，在其他方面：The price is high，but otherwise the quality is satisfactory．价格虽高，但质量是令人满意的．③否则，要不然：He reminded me of what I should otherwise have forgoten．亏他提醒了我，要不然我就忘了．
