【释义】：

戒斋；(喻)禁食

Moreover when ye fast, be nol, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast.Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But thou, when thou fastest,anoint thine head,and wash thy face;

That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

Matt.6:16-18

你们禁食的时候，不可像那假冒伪善的人，脸上带着愁容；因为他们把脸弄得难看，故意叫人看出他们是禁食；我实在告诉你们，他们已经得了他们的赏赐。

你禁食的时候，要梳头洗脸，

不叫人看出你禁食来，只叫你暗中的父看见；你父在暗中察看，必然报答你。
