传播福音者

And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,

And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority?

And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing,and answer me:

The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?

And they reasoned with themselves, saying, if we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not?

But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us:for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.

And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.

And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

Luke 20:1-8

有一天耶稣在殿里教训百姓，讲福音的时候，祭司长和文士并长老上前来，问他说，“你告诉我们，你仗着甚么权柄作这些事?给你这权柄的是谁呢?”

耶稣回答说：“我也要问你们一句话；你们且告诉我；

约翰的洗礼，是从天上来的，是从人间来的呢?”

他们彼此商议说，“我们若说从天上来，他必说你们为甚么不信他呢?若说从人间来，百姓都要用石头打死我们；因为他们信约翰是先知。

”

于是回答说，“不知道是从哪里来的。”

耶稣说，“我也不告诉你们，我仗着甚么权柄作这些事。”
