【释义】：

撒母耳(以色列的宗教领袖、预言家)；(喻)求耶和华而得子

And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the Lord, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the Lord remembered her.

Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the Lord.

And the man Elkanah, and all his house, went up to offer unto the Lord the yearly sacrifice, and his vow.

But Hannah went not up; for she said unto her husband, I will not go up until the child we weaned, and then I will bring him, that he may appear before the Lord, and there abide for ever.

And Elkanah her husband said unto her, - Do what seemeth thee good; larry until thou have weaned him; only the Lord establish his word, So the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she weaned him.

And when she had weaned him, she look him up with her, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of Lord in Shiloh: and the child was young.

And they slew a bullock, and brought the child to Eli.

And she said, Oh my Lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto the Lord.

For this child I prayed: and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him:

Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the Lord. And he worshipped the Lord there.

次日清早，他们起来，在耶和华面前敬拜，就回拉玛。

到了家里，以利加拿和妻哈拿同房，耶和华顾念哈拿，

哈拿就怀孕。日期满足，生了一个儿子，给他起名叫撒母耳，(他)说：“这是我从耶和华那里求来的。”

以利加拿和他全家都上示罗去，要向耶和华献年祭，并还所许的愿，

哈拿却没有上去，对丈夫说：“等孩子断了奶，我便带他上去朝见耶和华，使他永远住在那里。”

他丈夫以利加拿说：“就随你的意行吧!可以等儿子断了奶，但愿耶和华应验他的话。”于是妇人在家里乳养儿子，直到断了奶；

既断了奶，就把孩子带上示罗到了耶和华的殿，又带了三只公牛，一伊法细面，一皮袋酒。那时孩子还小。

宰了一只公牛，就领孩子到以利面前。

妇人说：“主啊，我敢在你面前起誓，从前在你这里，站着祈求耶和华的那妇人，就是我。

我祈求为要得到这孩子，耶和华已将我所求的赐给我了。

所以我将这孩子归与耶和华，使他终身归与耶和华。”于是在那里敬拜耶和华。
