【释义】：

走世人必走之路；(喻)离开人世

Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son, saying,

I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man:

And keep the charge of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest. and whithersoever thou lurnest thyself.

That the Lord may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.

I Kings 2:1-4

大卫的死期临近了，就嘱咐他儿子所罗门说：

“我现在要走世人必走的路，所以你当刚强，作大丈夫，

遵守耶和华你神所吩咐的，照着摩西律法上所写的行主的道，谨守他的律例、诫命、典章、法度。

这样，你无论作甚么事，不拘往何处去，尽都亨通。

耶和华必成就向我所应许的话说，你的子孙若谨慎自己的行为，尽心尽意，诚诚实实的行在我面前，就不断人坐以色列的国位。
